Hi, Everyone
This post is about 4 Seasons in Korea.
If you’re planning a trip to South Korea, you should know what the weather is like in Korea.
One of the most beautiful characteristics of life on the Korean Peninsula is the pendulum swing of the four seasons, each with its own appeal.
The year on the peninsula begins with the new buds of spring, step into life with the vitality of summer, ripens with age during the fall and the rests and recovers under layers of white snow during the winter.
1. Spring = 봄 : Bom
March ~ May
I strongly suggest travelers to visit Korea during the Spring seasons.
During spring this season, Korea is painted pink by the abundant cherry blossoms that decorate South Korea’s green spaces.
The weather during this season is the least likely to be inclement, making it one of the more popular, albeit crowded, times of the year to visit South Korea.
2. Summer = 여름 : Yeo Reum
June ~ August
Well, I hate sweating but summer in Korea is pretty good.
Summers in Korea are hot with a rainy season (called 장마철: Jang Ma Chul) earlier in the summer. Later in the summer is often humid.
Always pack a portable umbrella and rainproof gear, like a windbreaker and and a pair of water-resistant shoes.
Most buildings are air-conditioned in Seoul, so a light sweater to wear inside and take off outside is also a must.
AND! Just be warned though. Korea is SUPER hot during the summer, so stay cool and bring water.
3. Fall/Autumn = 가을 : Ga Eul
September ~ November
Korea is famous for its amazing Autumn sceneries and there are way too many places you should go to experience this colourful season.
During fall season in Korea, all the seasonal trees turn red and yellow in Autumn, even the most common roads become a beautiful sight.
Probably the best time for someone who loves to walk around.
4. Winter = 겨울 : Gyeo Wool
December ~ Feburary
Korean winter can be brutal. Cold, windy and dry, winter is a nightmare for skin care.
January in Korea can make you wonder if humans were meant to hibernate after all.
But fight the cold-induced lethargy, put on a coat or jumper and go outside.
There are lots of activities to do in winter season.
I will discuss about Korea's seasonal activities someday on my post.
